Back From Rome

Hi, I am back! One week in Rome was really amazing! I saw a lot of historical stuffs there. All the buildings are beautiful! It is a very inspiring city, you must become an artist if you live in Rome!

Anyway, I would love to live in Rome if the living expenses could be lower. From what I saw, everything is pretty expensive! I love the pasta there, but didn’t see much food options other than pasta and pizza. I am still a little tired and my back is hurting after the long flight. I will share all the photos with you soon!

See you after Rome

Hi Everyone! It has been a few days I didn’t publish new design because I am too nervous about going to Rome, Italy. I just packed my luggage tonight and everything is set! I just need to pack my laptop, camera, ipod and my Nintendo DS tomorrow. I heard a lot about Rome, so really not sure what should I expect, hope I will able to take some great photos to share with all of you! :)

While I was not working on new design, I went to watch movie…. by my own. Yes! Just by my own! I have watched Escape from Huang Shi, The Forbidden Kingdom, Iron Man and Fool Gold. I prefer Escape From Huang Shi and Iron Man. EFHS was very moving and IM was a very successful commercial movie. The Forbidden Kingdom was a movie that targeting westerner, not a movie that could represent Chinese cultural and legendary story. Fool Gold was stupid, period.

Anyway, even though I didn’t have any new designs, but I accumulate a lot of great ideas from those movies and I am leaving for Rome soon, I am sure I will have even more ideas after my trip.

P/S: I will travel for 1 week, I have already finished those custom orders but it might take a little while if you have custom order after tomorrow.

Help Giant Panda

Giant Pandas in China are one the most popular animals in the world but they are endangered and threatened by habitat loss due to increasing human population, poaching and the bamboo die-off.

I met my ex-colleagues for lunch and high tea today. It was nice to take a break, relax and just hangout with friends. It is Friday again! Do you have any plans for the weekend? I wish I could go to watch some movies, but since I am still coughing, I probably just stay at home, continue working on designs.... :)

At last, I started to get better after more than a week! I am still coughing a little bit, but recovering. I am drinking a lot of almond tea, Chinese herb, and avoiding cold drinks. I really hope I could totally recover soon since I am visiting Rome in May. I wanted to learn some Italian, but really too sick and too tired…. and not enough time to learn anymore! God bless me!

It has been a week, I am still not recovering yet. Fever is over, but still having sore throat and cough, these two are evil combination! Two nights without sleeping really made me exhausted! When I concentrate on my work, I don't cough that much, that's why I still able to come out with new design even though I am sick. So sick!

Hi, I am back again! Yesterday, after I went to the gym, I was really not feeling well. High fever, wanted to throwout.... and my body was burning hot after I got home. Finally, I went to see doctor in the evening, he gave me an injection, 5 medicines to take!

I am still feeling weak now, but after taking all those medicines, it really helps to control the fever. Today I probably will just spend some times organize and backup my files.

Stop Global Warming Hourglass

I did some shopping yesterday, bought a Biotherm Homme Aquapower. Previously I was using L’oreal’s product, but it just didn’t do any good to my combination skin. I also bought a pair of jeans from PDI for RM99, it is a straight low rise cutting, looks good with a reasonable price! :) And of course I got some regular groceries like milk, soy milk, yogurt, vegetable juice and cheese since I finished all my food before the trip.

Kanji Longevity - Happy Birthday

I got fever and sore throat after came back from my trip. It isn’t too bad now, after I took a lot of fluid since yesterday. Other than being sick, I also put on 5pound from my trip! I really should get back to gym soon! :D

I heard my friend in Austin just got married. They wowed everyone, nobody would aspect that…. Anyway, congratulation to them and hope they will be together forever!

I will be away next week. I will be in Taipei for 4-5days, and then Singapore. After that, I will be in Cameron Highlands for 3days. I am sure it will be a fun trip. I hope I could get more inspiration from the trip too!

Be a bad girl

As cute as the dog character Ruby, sometimes she could be naughty, just to have more fun! The character was inspired by my dog Ruby. But she will be put to sleep on March 24th because of her cancer. I guess looking at this design will be a good way for me to remember her....

I created this love bug design in Illustrator. Tried to make something sweet and elegant. I switch the dots on the bug to love shapes, and also the tentacles. Then the shading and the lighting to make it looks solid and standout. At last, added shadow and script type font, made the design sweet and romantic like a beautiful poet!

Trees in the Future

If we don't take care of the environment seriously, we might not have wonderful nature scenery to enjoy, with trees in our future. As a community, we need to stop abusing environment and do whatever it takes to protect the nature.

This is a very simple trees design that formed by the words "Future" and "Tree". I try to use this design to remind people, if we are not taking care of our environment, all the trees might be gone, we shall only find them documented in the books, pictures....
